Future Events
Monday 18th: What's An Elder? 7.30pm in the Sanctuary. Come along if you're interested in finding out what being an Elder entails in advance of the Church AGM and the election for elders.
Tuesday 19th: Church Annual General Meeting 7.45pm in the Sanctuary. There are four vacancies on the eldership. Nomination forms are available from the office. They must be signed by a proposer and a seconder, both members, as well as the member being nominated and submitted to the Minister or a serving elder by 5.00pm on 10th March.
filmThursday 28th: Film Afternoon 1.30pm in the Lichfield room, the film The Madness of King George will be shown, starring Nigel Hawthorne, Helen Mirren & Ian Holm. The film lasts 1hr 44 mins. Tea and sandwiches will be served, £1.50 for refreshments.
Friday 1st March: Annual World Day of Prayer 10.30am and 7.30pm at Holy Cross Church. This year the focus is on Slovenia. Refreshments provided after each service. Please join with others across the city for an event which will also take place in over 170 countries across the world. Further information from Hazel Rendle.
Saturday 2nd March: Women's Brunch 9.30am venue to be advised, discussion over bibles and bacon sandwiches.
Saturday 2nd March: Eucharist Study Day 10.00am, at St Giles' Church, Whittington. A day to learn about and reflect upon its central importance for Christians, led by the Rev Dr. Jason Phillips. FlowersThursday 7th March: Fun Floristry Flower Workshop - 7.30pm in the Hall, theme: Springtime - details from Irene Rushton (319268).
Saturday 9th March: Fairtrade Event 7.30pm in St. Chad's Church Hall, tasting evening with cheese, wine and social justice stories from around the world.
Saturday 9th March: Church Cleaning Day from 9.00am. All welcome for a time of fun and fellowship spring cleaning the buildings. See Liz for details.
Saturday 23rd March: Coffee morning fundraiser for The Migraine Trust 10.30am. The Trust funds research, provides evidence-based information, campaigns for and supports people affected by migraine in the UK. So if you experience migraine, know someone who does, or just want a cuppa, please call in and give generously!

Thinking of being baptised? We will be holding a baptism service on Easter Sunday, 21st April. If you are considering being baptised, please speak to Ian Hayter.
Lent Groups The Bible Rediscovered beginning after Wednesday 6th March. Please sign up by Sunday 10th February on the sheets in either the Lichfield room or in the Porch.
Flower Rota 2019: the New Flower Rota will be in the office or on the board in the Johnson Room; copies have been sent out to those on email or will be given out by hand. If you no longer wish to be on the Rota please let me know (319268). If you would like to change your date please swap with someone or choose an empty space. There are spaces for anyone new wishing to contribute. Thank You all for your generosity, Irene.
