Future Events
Saturday 24th: Refugee Information and music evening 7.00pm. Donations in aid of local refugee groups. Organised by Lichfield Refugee aid contact Janet Crews 07749298120. We need cakes and raffle prizes; any help on the night also appreciated.
filmThursday 1st March: Film Afternoon 1.30pm in the Lichfield room, the film A Street Cat Named Bob will be shown, starring Luke Treadway and Bob lasts 1hr 39mins. Tea and sandwiches will be served, £1.50 for refreshments.
FlowersThursday 1st March: Fun Floristry Flower Workshop - 7.30pm in the Hall, theme: Spring is in the air - details from Irene Rushton (319268).
Friday 2nd March: World Day of Prayer Service 10.30am, repeated at 7.30 pm, at Life Church in Netherstowe. The focus is on Suriname, 'next door' to where Anthony comes from, in South America and the theme is Caring for God's Creation.
Saturday 3rd March: Learning about dementia Time and place not advised - A training day led by Charlotte Overton-Hart, who works with Livability's Community Engagement Team as Dementia Associate. Attendance limited to 3 people from our church and a contribution of £10.00 per person towards costs. Elders Elections: There are 8 vacancies to be filled at the AGM in March. Nomination forms are available from the church office and requires three church members signatures - the proposer, a seconder and, importantly, the person being nominated. Forms should be returned the Minister or a serving elder by 5.00pm on Sunday 4th March. Please continue to pray for this process.
Readings and Prayers: a new version of the rota has been circulated by email. If you have not received yours, please contact Paul Rendle or ask at the office. The latest version can always be checked on the rotas board outside the office.
Baseball Camp: Hosts are required to provide accommodation for our Texan friends during the week of 21st to 28th July. If you think you can help or would like to know more please contact Lainey Neil (07712 010687).
Care for the Family: - What Does freedom really look like at Leicester on Tuesday 8th May 7.30 to 10.00pm. £4.00 per ticket. Lichfield Foodbank: Thank you for your continuing support. Our current needs are dry long grain rice, tinned fruit and long-life UHT milk. If you are able to donate any of these could you pleas put them in the container in the Johnson Room. Alan Weaver
